Brooks Collision is owned and operated by Pat and Terina Stenger. Pat apprenticed at a local Brooks area shop and became a Journeyman Automotive Technician in 1995. In 2002, he decided to give it a go on his own—he needed a new challenge and believed he could run a great shop. It ended up being a very good decision, for his family and his customers. Today, Brooks Collision has some of the best and most experienced staff in Newell County.
“I started working on cars as soon as I owned by first one at age 16. I didn’t like how it looked, so I painted it in our family’s garage. It turned out okay, but I knew I could do better, so I fixed up some vehicles for my friends and family. In 1991, a new auto body shop opened in Brooks, and I thought it would be a good idea to get in on the ground floor. I was hired as the shop’s first employee, and completed my apprenticeship there. When the owner sold the business in 2002, I felt confident to get out on my own. As a shop owner, I truly enjoy meeting customers, new and old, and love being a meaningful part of the Brooks community.”
